Elie Wiesel, Author of Night, Aged 12

Our English class is studying the memoir Night, by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel.

I worked in a group with Yilin and Hine, we created an empathy map for Elie at this age.

Elie is aged 12 years old and is passionate about studying the Talmud. He is the third child in the family and the only boy in his family, he has three sisters. His two older sisters are called Hilda (eldest), then Bea, then Elie and the youngest Tzipora. His parents' names are Shlomo Wiesel (Father) and Sarah Feig (Mother). He and his family live in Sighet, Transylvania.  He asked his father to find him a master who could help him towards his studies of kabbalah, but his father thought that he was too young. But he found one himself - Moishe the beadle. His father hardly ever showed his emotions towards his own family.

None of the groups said we need to change anything on the board or about the rules, and how to play. The groups that played game they said they enjoyed playing it and they said they had lots of fun. They also said that our instructions were easy to follow to learn to play. It was quit interesting how everyone like it.

I think our game was quit fun when we played it. Everything on the board is quit different compeared to everyone else game. But it is more fun when everyone is having fun and participating with eachother. 

Curious Cove

 My favourite part of camp was when we went to Motuara. when we got to the island We all slowly got off the boat. Soon later we started walking up the island. It took about 15 minutes to get up the island which was steep but still fun. Getting to the top and looking over the sea, just in the distance we saw Kapiti Island, which was cool as. About 10 minutes later was we started to walk back down the island. It was way faster walking back down then going up the island. When we got back to the bottom we waited for a few minutes then we left to go to Ships Cove.

My least favourite part was going on the boat and when we came back on the ferry, because I felt very sick. I also didn't like when days it was raining cause we wouldn't do much.

About my board game.

 Last week on Monday 16-11-20  my groups board game Brain Master was created, it was created becasue our teacher told everyone in the class to get into groups to creat a random game. In my group was Me, Eden, Selena, Tara and Ella.  Anyway our game is called Brain Master, and its quite a easy game to play with friend. Things you need for the is counters, 2 dice and the board that we made. The teacher gave a list which should be on the board game, this is it 

The game has a name?  Instructions were simple and easy to follow? Rules were clear for your group to understand? The equipment was listed for the game? It was Fun to play? 2-6 players play this game? Game presentation is 100%? The game has to be finished by 27-11-20.

I think the game was really good and fun to play.

where do I see myself in 10 years

W.A.L.T think about what our future will be.

In 10 years time I want to go to university and study to be a dentist. To get to there I will try be my best at every thing and always try before I give up to do something.

Something I have learn't this week

I learn't how to do a sketch board in art, first I coloured the whole piece of paper with crayon. Then I put two layers of black paint and let it dry, then I sketched my disign and slowly scratched the black paint off. It was really fun. 

Something I have learned this week

 This week in DMIC the teachers gave two groups a problem. At first I didn't get the problem at the start but soon later I understood how to do it. When it was time to present our group and the other group both presented it differently.  

I almost completed all my work which was quite easy. That is basicaly all I learnt this weeek.
