Matariki is a cluster of star witch rises in the Northeast every June to July, Matariki is the sign to Maori's as the new year. Matariki is not just celebrated in New Zealand, it is celebrated in diffrent places of the world.Matariki is the mother of 8 children, Matariki is the gathering of people and whanau and reflection and the environment. It is the brightest star of them all and the biggest.
